Technology is a knowledge aimed at creating tools, actions for processing and extracting objects. The term “technology” has been widely known and everyone has their own way of understanding technology. Technology is used to solve various problems in our daily lives, briefly; we can describe technology as a product, process, or organization. In addition, technology is used to expand our capabilities, and that makes people the most important part of any technological system.

Technology is also an application of science to solve problems. But what we have to know is that technology and science are different subjects who work hand-to-hand to accomplish certain tasks or solve a particular problem.

Application of technology

Technology is applied in almost everything we do in our lives, we use technology at work; we use it for extract ingredients; we use technology for communication, transportation, learning, manufacturing; creating tools; secure data, business scale, and more. Technology is human knowledge that involves tools, materials, and systems. The application of technology produces tools or products. If this technology is applied well, it can be beneficial to humans; but if wrongly applied, it can cause damage to humans.

Use of technology

Many businesses use technology to stay competitive, they create new products and services using technology, and they also use technology to deliver products and services to their customers in a timely manner. A good example is cellphone companies like Apple and Samsung, these two electronics companies, using high-end technology to make new smartphones and other electronic devices to stay competitive. This competitive advantage is obtained through the use of sophisticated technology.

Technology advancement

Technology is dynamic; technology continues to be advanced because our needs and demands for technology continue to increase. We have moved from the industrial era (industrial revolution) to the information age. During the industrial era, companies with large capital have the potential to use expensive technology tools to gain competitive advantage; Small businesses have less potential because they are not capable of manufacturing or processing expensive technology tools. But, technological advances have created a new economic environment that is information-dependent and that is what we call the “Information Age”, an information age that provides a different work environment and this has helped small businesses get positions in highly competitive markets.
